Spyker boss confirms £135,000 price tag for new Spyker B6 Venator Spyder

The Spyker B6 Venator Spyder will cost from £135,000 when it goes on sale next year.

The supercar, which made its European premiere at Salon Prive in London today, will be sold alongside the B6 Coupe, which costs £125,000.

Powered by a V6 engine producing in excess of 375bhp, the two-door mid-engined convertible sits on an aluminium platform with carbon fibre bodywork. It made its world debut in Pebble Beach last month.

Speaking at the reveal CEO of Spyker and designer of the B6 Venator Victor Müller said the convertible retained all the design causes of previous Spyker cars, including the C8 Aileron. Such cues include the addition of aircraft-inspired switchgear and exposed gear linkage.

Müller said: "We have for a long time wanted to make a car that was more accessible to our client base. An Aileron at £200,000 is a very hard sell for many people, it's thin air. But if you go down to this price level, all of a sudden you're in an area where many more people can afford your product."

There's no mistaking the Spyker C8 supercar for something else. Its styling is wild and its interior is sublime

Is this on the Evora chassis?

Is this on the Evora chassis? - that wheelbase and those proportions and even the windscreen look very familiar.

Chassis is Artega GT.

For what it's worth, nice car, but I'd only pay £140k if it had the V8. This is a car for the senses, so I'd want the noise.
