Ford has canned the Maverick off-roader, blaming the lack of a diesel version for its poor sales performance.
With only 982 models being sold this year, the company will stop importing the 4x4 at the end of the year. Sales will continue for several more months while stocks clear. Mazda, however, has no plans to halt sales of the near-identical Tribute.
