The only version of the Lamborghini Huracan that's really got us hot under the collar so far is Lamborghini the very expensive Performante - the standard model has left us cold.

But now Lamborghini has overhauled it with a suite of new chassis technologies, as well as a bump in horsepower. A 32bhp boost brings the power output of the Evo's 5.2-litre V12 engine to the same level as the 631bhp Performante, for a 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds.

Autocar's Dan Prosser travels to the Bahrain International Circuit to see if the Huracan Evo is the car we've been waiting for.
