That there are problems with the UK electric car public charging infrastructure today isn’t in doubt.
You can’t deny the photos of queues of cars waiting to charge, or the statistics on broken chargers, or the cost of charging versus fossil fuel and more.

Hear hear! National strategy needed. Needs to bring together, charging networks, fuel companies, service area companies, National Grid, DNOs, local planning authorities and suport from Central Govt to change a lot of planning law to grant wayleave rights for electricity, compulsory purchase orders and removal of commercial barriers to place chargers from any network in MSAs. Then adding tax benefits to allow company car parks to fit chargers (only need to be 13A if parking all day) and making sensible recommendations for charger location, bay design, rating by location etc etc. It's a total mess at the moment and really doesn't need to be.
