Renault’s ‘house of frog’ pop-up store will let members of the public get hands-on with Renault Twingo E-Tech electric in the heart of the capital.

Renault’s 1990s icon is making a much-anticipated return to the UK, and those in the English capital will have the chance to get up close with Twingo at the house of frog pop-up store on Oxford Street.

Running between 21-29 November, the pop-up celebrates the imminent launch of Twingo E-Tech electric with four cars on display in the high-tech space at Future Stores.

Aside from the opportunity to see Twingo up close in a variety of its bold colours, there is plenty for attendees to see and do including live performances and DJ sets, interactive games, table football, digital drawing, digital races, arcade machines, exclusive merchandise giveaways, Twingo trail and much more.

As part of the festivities, Kimberly Wyatt will headline two exclusive DJ sets at the event that will take place at the following dates and times:

•    Thursday 26 November, 8-9pm

•    Saturday 28 November, 8-9pm.

Spots at the event are limited, but those who wish to attend can secure their place here.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to sign up for Twingo R Pass, which, for £100, ensures they’re first in line for order and delivery of a new Renault Twingo, and also comes with a fun 1:43 scale model of Twingo and a special green key card holder.(1)

It’s not the first time Renault has run such an event, with similar pop-ups for Renault 4, Renault 5 and Renault 5 Turbo 3E proving a hit with the general public. Now it’s the turn of ‘Le Frog’ – an affectionate nickname born of Twingo’s striking green colour and frog-like front end – to take the spotlight.

With its combination of head-turning looks, useful tech, practical features and fun driving dynamics, Renault’s hotly anticipated compact city car has already caught the attention of the motoring media, with What Car? saying: “Channelling the cheeky, ‘90s retro styling of its iconic first-generation namesake, new electric Twingo isn't just a design exercise; it should be a genuine game-changer.”

What’s more, it’s already picked up the 2026 award for ‘Best Small Car’ at our sister title Autocar, with judges complimenting its clever packaging, vibrant interior, and fun driving feel.

That early attention comes with good reason. First and foremost, Renault Twingo E-Tech electric brings a rare sense of joy to this class with its cartoony amphibian front end and rounded, full-LED headlights. The charm continues inside, where drivers are greeted by a vibrant cabin featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Google built-in(2), allowing seamless access to apps – such as Google Maps – and Google’s AI voice assistant, without the need to connect your phone. You can also download streaming apps, such as Spotify, to listen to your favourite tunes.

Beyond its playful styling, new Renault Twingo is impressively practical – particularly for a car in this segment. Measuring under 3.8 metres long with a turning circle of less than 10 metres, it is perfectly tailored for navigating tight urban streets. Yet, it remains remarkably spacious, boasting sliding rear seats that can expand the boot capacity to a generous 360 litres – a figure that wouldn’t look out of place in vehicles a size above Twingo. The electric powertrain also delivers up to 163 miles of range(3), ensuring that daily commutes are easy, and longer journeys aren’t out of the question.

Crucially, Renault is targeting an expected starting price of less than £20,000. Even at this accessible entry point, the Twingo offers advanced safety features – like adaptive cruise control – that are typically reserved for larger, more expensive vehicles. It is this unique blend of exceptional value, everyday usability, and undeniable character that makes Renault Twingo E-Tech electric a genuine star in the making.
